Make tomorrow better
Make tomorrow better
I am a public health researcher in the School of Public Health at the University of Technology Sydney, Australia. I work with other researchers, medical professionals, community members and government organisations to improve health and wellbeing. I decided to study for a PhD in Public Health after working in the field of health for many years. I enjoyed working one on one with people but really liked the idea of being able to effect change in communities and whole populations. I like talking to people and understanding life through their eyes. Being a public health researcher is a great way to advocate for change and a fairer, more equitable world.
My research involves talking to people to understand their experiences, along with looking at large data sets to find out what makes us healthy and happy.
My research is focused on maternal and child health, particularly around infectious disease and vaccination. I am also interested in what information people need to make decisions and in how infectious disease and vaccine risk is communicated and understood.
I want to improve knowledge of and access to vaccines to make tomorrow better.
